I
made the free extra double bass reflex enclosures that
comes with Stereo magazine's audio series of
books. And I mounted supplement
SCANSPEAK 5cm full-range drivers to this August issue of
Stereo magazine.

I
previewed the sound of various combinations of sound
absorbing materials. SCANSPEAK 5F/8422T03 plays bass in own
way even 5cm size. The midrange and the high-tone
range are clear sound. I think it's a wonderful sound
on the whole.
But when I turned up the volume, the
resonance of the double bass reflex enclosures became a
loud noise, and also the resolution dropped about the
midrange and the high-tone range. The supplementary double bass reflex
enclosures are made of MDF. So I bought SSC (P/No.C-100)
and impregnated it in the enclosures only
once. After impregnate, knocking on the
enclosures changed |
an audible tone from them. As a
result, SSC decreased the resonance of the enclosures a
little, and I felt rising resolution as a whole. After
that, I impregnated SSC in the enclosures
again, and they became more better.
Try many
variations because of DIY kit. It's a
lot of
fun! |

I received the email from a
client. "I
got the attached photo's German TELEFUNKEN RS1. It's a
narrow range but eases on the ear, so I have it in mind to
use it habitually. I think SSC compound will greatly
enhance the sound quality. But I may fail if brush the
inside with SSC on my own way, so I want Mr.Hasehiro to
brush it."
It is quite a pretty little
speaker, despite its paradoxical image of German
speakers. TELEFUNKEN RS1 were made more than 60
years ago, are valuable vintage speakers.
A
few days later, TELEFUNKEN RS1 came to me with the
top panels, the bottom panels and the
drivers |

simple structure like a lunchbox. |

"It's a narrow range but eases
on the ear" -- after I saw the real thing, his comment
is persuasive. Several years ago, I brushed
antique style radio with SSC. It was made by curving a thin
wooden board as TELEFUNKEN RS1. The antique style radio is
still placed in our listening room,
and sometimes I listen to FM
broadcast. Before the coating, male
announcers read news in an inward voice, and
intimidated me. More than that, I could not
tolerate listening to classical music. After that
I brushed the inside with SSC just once, the sound
quality totally changes. It enabled me to enjoy
music. SSC works more effectively for
resonance enclosures, and it is |

sound quality. It will have a great effect on
TELEFUNKEN RS1. |

I report the results of SSC. I thought I tried
to paint mock D-100 made from MDF first. Then, I tried to
paint D-57 with SSC compound. (The design of D-57 and D-100
were proposed by Mr.Tetsuo
Nagaoka)
mock D-100 with VERAVOX
5S: I painted just once and I waited for 1.5
days. Resolution performance of low-pitched tone was
better and the mid-high-pitched tone took up than before
coating. I felt the low range became more widely, but it
was preferable to reduce the number of noise absorbing
materials than before coating.
D-57: SSC
achieved remarkable results for mock D-100, so I began
coating on D-57. Always, I was not very pleased
with inarticulate band frequency (100dB or less) of
D-57. There was a dull sound when I tapped on the back
boards of D-57. I thought the inarticulate low range occurs
from the back boards.
I painted only back
boards and I waited for 2 days. As a result, it
became a tight sound when tapped on the back boards. I
previewed music immediately. The low-pitched tone took
up and it became articulate sound. But the balance between
low-pitched tone and mid-high-pitched tone moved to higher
side. This caused it to become lack of low-pitched
tone. Therefore, I took own Tozawa styled resonaters out, then I crammed the
cottons into the
air chambers to absorb mid-high-pitched tone.
As a
result, the low-pitched tone became rich and articulate
sound. And the mid-high-pitched tone is out of
distortion and its resolution performance is better. It
gave me no small satisfaction. |

I use marantz CD player, and it has 3 filter
modes.
mode-1: SSC compound allows deep
sound image to be heard clearly. So, I can hear classical
music and live recordings quite
real.
mode-2: I can feel comfortable of
spread of two sides. So, it is good for popular music and
BGM.
mode-3: Sound rushes fiercely forward
when I listen to jazz music. I can feel great, but
WCW-F200A is the best to listen to jazz vocal
music.
I'm glad I painted them with SSC
compound. Thank you very much. Please develop and
introduce us to effective audio accessories in the future,
too. |

I painted SSC compound on my own super woofer
enclosure; 3 FOSTEX FW208N woofers, MDF board
30mm thick and 170L bass reflex.
woofer FW208N I painted it on
the outside of the enclosure once, but the baffle board is
twice-coat work. And I painted it on the inside of the
enclosure once within arm's reach. It took 1100cc of SSC
compound to paint. Dried SSC compound completely and
remounted woofers.
My first impression is
that it gained the volume level. The super woofers
already have sufficient audio ability to the lowest tone
before paint. But the bottom part extended much more by the
paint. Subduction of the bass drum is like a true rumbling
of the earth. And the sound became tight and clear. The
lowest tone of the contrabass is very comfortable and
clear.
Since yesterday, I am listening to my CDs
again. It became completely satisfactory sound. The
sound isn't available if it's marketed speaker
system. Overall bandwidth of transparent sound and a sense
of speed are as good as it gets. The midrange density is
explosive strength.
I am intimidated by the expanse and the massive feeling
of the low-pitched tone. That's not warm sound, but
it's my target sound.
I found SSC compound. As a
result, I'm very happy that I could come this far. Thank

In December of last year, I purchased the
SSC-finished front baffle boards of Vifa
TG9FD specification for my MM-141S speakers. Sorry for my
late report.
TG9FD10-04 My first
impression was that they have a sense of startle
speed. But I couldn't understand why they have that because
I first heard Vifa sound, too. For now, my
conclusion is that the sense of startle speed is the
effect of the SSC-finished front baffle boards, not Vifa
drivers. I could get a high resolution, exhilaration and
the feelings of music interval by the sense of startle
speed.
Furthermore, it gave the sound a sense
of depth. In other words, it gave a 3D appearance to the
sound. I had never been in this
realm before! |

I painted SSC compound for driver on my favorite
JBL 4301B according to your explanation. Apparently I
could realize the following improvement
cases;
1. This made
much improvement in the transient response
characteristics of low-frequency region. 2. The
sound was spread from side to side. 3. I felt
comfortable with the tone color of the whole range of
audibility.
Above all, I take great pleasure in
regeneration of old loudspeaker of memory. I am writing
this email is because I felt compelled to express just how
amazing the experience was. Thank you very

I painted SSC compound on the inside of
ORTOFON Concorde 305. The enclosures are made from thin
MDF, and they are not reinforced. I wasn't sure if I could
paint it on the inside of the enclosures by insertion my
hand into a narrow baffle apertures. So, I made a
tool. I twisted stretch bandage around a long chopstick and
bound it with a rubber band. |
Dried the enclosures for two
full days, and I painted once again. It became
tight sound when tapped the enclosures.
I was amazed at the overwhelming good
separation of an
individual sound.
The scales fell from my
ears. I am a jazz listener. |

Acoustic bass guitar became
light tight sound and distinct pitch. Cymbals are bright in
tone, and saxophone isn't flat sound.
Metaphorically speaking, it's
like ALTEC coaxial monitor with a dry and vigorous
midrange. Obviously it improved, but it doesn't the
direction of king size JBL monitor.
SSC compound has
a great effect on jerry-built enclosure.
Now, more than one year later,
there is persistence of the
effect. |

I report the results
of SSC. I painted D-58ES designed by Mr.Tetsuo
Nagaoka and own
bass-reflex with SSC compound.
D-58ES designed by Mr.Tetsuo
Nagaoka: I painted twice to the outside of the
enclosure, thrice to the front baffle board and once to the
air chamber. And also I painted twice to the exit of the
horn. To finish up, I painted urethane
varnish to the
top panel and the side panels.
The biggest change
was uprise the energy of the Mid-low tone. |

Own Bass-Reflex: I painted just once
and I listened to the sound. I didn't expect the sound
but it was a big surprise. Mid-high tone is a terrible
upheaval.
After that, I hit upon the idea to coating of
the whole one except the front baffle board with urethane
varnish for bring under high tone's control and
also coating of the woofer drivers with SSC
compound for increase bass level. Already it has improved a
lot so I obsessed about should do or not do. In the end,
I painted them. I'm glad I
decided do it. |

mid-low tone was the biggest change.

about 6.5 years ago.
It was finally concluded
that my image sound.
SSC compound is excellently efficacious coating

I received
the
SSC finished front baffle boards. I
immediately replaced the unpainted front baffle boards with
that. Up until now, the sound of the combination of the SSC
finished bodies and the unpainted front baffle
boards didn't have its cohesiveness. But I could
ascertain the efficacy of SSC by the combination of both
the SSC finished front baffles and the bodies.
The
sound pressure increased, and the sound separated. When I
listened to jazz, I could hear finely-separated brushing
tone of cymbals. The sound cleared and
tightened, so I feel that the low-pitched tone
weakened. Anyway, I think that the sound quality has
greatly improved by SSC.

Today, I replaced the unpainted front baffle
boards with the SSC finished front baffle boards, then I
listened to a CD.
Wow! I thought I already
finished the work I needed to do. I cannot see any problem
I listen to anything, a clear sound contour and the
resonance, too. The shining sound of a piano and a metallic
feel of brass instrument. Problem-free drum and bass
sound. Distortion-free voice and solid whole image. My
MM-151 was completed.
Until now, I mounted the drivers
behind the front baffle boards. I took this opportunity to
mount the drivers shallowly in the SSC finished front
baffle boards.
I conceive private conviction
that I produced a proper balance by increasing the capacity
of the air chambers. My MM-151 was not good at play a
high-speed music. However, the SSC finished front baffle
boards have solved all
problems. |

MM owners should definitely buy
the SSC finished front baffle board. It is an absolute
steal at this price. I hope you standardize the SSC
finished front baffle board, and I will never be able to
listen to the other sound any more. Up until now, my
MM-151S has the strengths and weaknesses from musical
genres. Right now, I have no complaints about
anything.
The SSC finished front baffle boards are
convincing enough to convince listeners to accept the
sound if it is the sound being out of balance. The SSC
finished front baffle boards may provide the solution
to everyone's sound problems.
I'm very comfortable
with bought the SSC finished front baffle boards. If you
will start selling the coating material, I will buy it and
paint the bodies with it. |

with Roiene DX200.) WCW-200 is a straightforward
sound, perfect sound image and lateralization. |
So I used Hidasuki insulators as height
adjustment spacer for WCW-200.
But I was surprised
to listen to my favorite LPs and CDs. The biggest change is the fineness
of bass separation. I could hear the nuance of my
favorite musics by Hidasuki insulators. Originally, WCW-200
was the loudspeakers with beautiful 3D sound. But
now, WCW-200 changed to the musical instrument
with beautiful sound. Strangely, Hidasuki insulator is
pottery. However, the sound changed. |

I could get Hidasuki insulators in the afternoon,
thank you. I was surprised to see that the box was so
nice.
I put insulators by three-point mounting between
the speaker and the
Corian board. The front is 2 insulators
and the rear is 1 insulator in the right direction. I
was surprised to put that these heights were about the
same. That is master's work!

I was surprised to listen to
the sound. The sound's freshness was so different and
the resolution performance increased dramatically in the
past. So I can read a sound like a book now. The sound
is natural, an amazing sense of presence and
dynamics.
Especially it has a profound effect on
mid-low to low-pitched tone. Just put them, so
I'm looking forward to it after a week.
I want to
try this insulator to my STAX tube amplifier SRM-006t,
too. I think it has effect without doubt. I may
repeat an order to you. Thank you for providing such an

I put the first Hidasuki insulators that I bought
under an amplifier by one-point mounting to the front
and two-point mounting to the rear. The amplifier sat on
the wooden rack directly. I have tried some insulators to
the amplifier, but I couldn't find a match for
this. I heard a sound as if a fog had cleared up. I
guess there is a good chemistry between Hidasuki
insulators and this amplifier.
Next, I put them
under a CD player at the same position. It had a great
effect. I could listen to each individual sound with vivid
clarity. I decided that it matches my audio
system, so I bought 3 additional sets of Hidasuki
insulator.
I used an additional 8 Hidasuki insulators
for 2 speakers with speakerstand in mind.
SARAH BRIGHTMAN "CLASSICS" The sound
is skeletally prominent. For now, I started the aging.
A western diva sang in a beautiful voice after 24 hours
into the aging. Her mellow powerful voice... I could
listen to each individual sound with vivid clarity in the
stillness. I think that the Hidasuki insulator will
exercise "Its Monster Effect" if turn up the
volume.
I can't wait to hear how the effect will turn
out. The remaining additional 9 Hidasuki
insulators are for all-in-one stereo, and the last piece is
for a cool beer.
The Hidasuki insulators made it
more a voluminous hearing harmonious low-pitched
sound. Tight consonant such as "shi" and "su" seemed less
annoying. I hesitated to buy the Hidasuki
insulator due to the high price, but it's recommended
item. Please feel "Its Monster Effect",
everybody.

Became clarity to the changes in
pitch. In other words, the sound image stood out in sharp
relief.
I purchased it after checking advantageous
effect at The Vacuum Tube Audio
Fair. Hasehiro gave a demonstration of
contrast between before and after. I was behind the
exhibition site, but I was a big surprise to the reducing
effect of the incidental sound.

Listening impression by renting

I felt something click inside me when
I found the ionic record stabilizer on audio
magazine.
I took the ionic record stabilizer out of
nice wooden box for expensive pottery. But it looks like
a simple waistless bowl. The real stabilizer was quite
different from my impression.
I immediately used
it. According to audio magazine reviews and
contribution articles, the stabilizer produces a dramatic
result. But my ears were poor ability, no significant
difference could be felt. The sound was silent a
little. I listened to the many LPs... It suddenly dawned on
me. My purpose was the trial listening of sound. In
spite of that, I listened to the musics
unknowingly. Why...?

I think ALTEC lovers will understand
me. The dynamism of ALTEC sound transcends common
understanding. The ALTEC sound has become as
natural.

"MUSSORGSKY:COMPLETE SONGS"
"ce" and "ci" were tough a
little in fortissimo part when I listened to it by Ortofon SPU-mono
cartridge. But the ionic record stabilizer
erased the defect. Boris stood up in front of me and he
sang with a deeply warm bass only for me. Boris had
a really beautiful voice.
I tried to take off the ionic
record stabilizer. The ALTEC sound took a luster a
little. I thought ALTEC is live sound till now, but
surprisingly, ALTEC sound also had the incidental
tone.
I put the stabilizer again. A few
incidental tone focused my attention on the sound. In other
words, it disrupted to listened to the music.
I learned
to there is an unimagined beautiful sound in this
world. The ionic record stabilizer brought me one step
closer to that sound. Since then, I cannot listen to music
without the ionic record
stabilizer. |

The ionic record stabilizer arrived safely at my
hand.
I had an increased number of treasures
because it was in a box of paulownia wood. I tried it
immediately. But the center spindle of NOTTINGHAM was so long, so it
floated above vinyl face about 5mm. For now, I
verified it as it is.
First, I listened to my favorite
music by using current record stabilizer. Next, I poured
water into the ionic record stabilizer until about 80
percent, and started.
Wow-ees!!
The sound was
different in a moment of one heard. It's so
natural with a great sound field, and it is not only
clear but also lithe sound.
But I have to do
something about the float. Fortunately, it's a detachable
aluminum spindle. I cut the spindle by a metal saw and
polished the cutting surface with sandpaper.
Started
trial listening again. That's great! This
increases the amount of information by all
vinyls.
I can listen to a fine sounds. I
thought it's a little expensive, but I made a great
buy.
I'm surprised negative ions have a lot
of effects. Thank you very much for providing such an

I borrowed the ionic record stabilizer
from you, but I can't bear to be parted from it. It
seems it is better to pour water into the ionic record
stabilizer until the very edge of the
dent. |
My analog player is THORENS TD190. It
is lightweight. Besides,
the turntable with the pickup are floating
mechanism. So, I can't use a heavy record
stabilizer. But the ionic record stabilizer
is lighter than I thought, so it was fully
compatible with TD190. |

I caught better-than-expected effect even
comparatively-inexpensive player. It has the freshness of
the audio image and an uplifting feeling in music. No
other stabilizer allows such a great effect, I
think. I hesitated to buy the ionic record stabilizer due
to the high price. But I will think I spent wasting time if
I listen to vinyls without it from now on. So, I decided to buy the borrowed ionic record
stabilizer. |

You've got me there! I bought a lot
of audio accessories before now, and I felt the great
effect for the first time.
CD players are ESOTERIC X-1S and AH!
Njoe Tjoeb 4000. Record players are ROKSAN RADIUS 5
and KENWOOD KP-1100. Cartridges are FR-1E and
FR-7F. I am driving by FAST T1-X of both CD and record
players.

KP-1100 | I listened
to the same source of both CD and record players. Vinyl
with the ionic record stabilizer gains the upper hand over
CD. That is the sound stage, the sound localization,
the sound quality, the undertone, the extension of a
high-tone range, the midrange thickness and the
clearness. Above all else, the excitement is irresistible
attraction. The vinyls have life but the CDs are
dead. Unfortunately I can't put on CDs anymore.
I
tried many variations to the amount of water for the ionic
record stabilizer. That is empyrean, about half, about 70%
and over 90%. The result, it seems it is better to choose
over 90%.
That's absolutely gorgeous record
stabilizer. Thank you for Hasehiro and
Mr.Hayashi. |

Reviewers have praised the stabilizer
highly in magazines. But I want to know it
myself. One day I knew the holding of Hasehiro listening
event in Nihonbashi and I went to. I handed my own jazz
record to Hasehiro, and I comparative previewed between
before and after. There was a decisive difference
during the part of drum solo. The contours of the drums are
fuzzy sound without stabilizer. That's expensive, but I
decided to get it.
I have listened a lot of LPs at
home. I'm not sure about the efficacy of the negative
ions. But individual instrumental sounds feel fine by
the vibration-canceling effect.
Thereupon when I turn
up the volume, music approaches me with their
overwhelming power.
In the case of live record, the
audience applause after the performance was very
interesting. I was really surprised, I
heard individually-separated applause. Before that
time, it was a lump of applause.

I received Corian boards. Immediately I
put them under UMU-131XS purchased on this February. It's an extraordinary
effect! Now I could understand the value
of UMU-131XS.
I puzzled my head to improve the
sound of UMU-131XS for almost two months after purchase,
but I was relieved to find that the poor installed
condition is the cause. Until now, the sound of UMU-131XS
had chatter vibration with clouds. So I tried many
variations of antivibration means
appropriately.

But I began to have the
experience of this feeling of unmagnified solid
bass and briskness of mid and high-tone
range after receiving Corian
boards. I
even hear the fine sound of strings such as a violin
and a cello, and also the elastic deflection sound of
bass guitar when I listen to jazz. I can have a
strong feeling that the realistic sensations is more
wonderful than anything. | UMU-131XS made
me realize once more that the music is fun and
wonderful. I will turn 66 years old this
year. I enjoy listening to music, especially classic and
modern jazz since my school days. I listen to CDs in
case of jazz, but in classic I listen to LP records of
conductors in the past like Carl Schuricht,

Thank you for your prompt action. I
received Corian boards. I put them under four legs
of my CD player DENON DCD-1500SE. I have won an
excellent result.

Appearing below is remarkable
results under the current conditions. 1. It dissolved turbidity of treble part by
the vibration deadening. Especially stringed sound got
briskness, so I don't get tired from listening. Corian
boards produced an increased volume of a bass tone, and
jazz bass is very pleasing to the ear. 2. Overall, there was an increase in the
amount of sound stereoscopic effect, so symphony grew in
thickness. 3. I have degusted the remarkable
results by remastered Carl Schuricht
Concert-Hall-Society recordings.

I took off the legs
of DENON DCD-1500SE, and put Corian boards at the four
corners as you indicated. It improved the sound quality
like removed a second veil. The sound came closer to
stereoscopic live music. I feel really happy.

am impressed by your quick response to my order. My
system is old... What's that sound coming
to...? I put Corian boards under speakers with
sound them.

Sera "SWING ON BIRDLAND" It's a very big
change, sharp midrange and high-tone range. I can see
the location of the players now... I couldn't
anticipate such a big change.
I was absolutely
charmed by backloaded horn speakers CORAL BL-20D a long
time ago. But I gave it in past times. I will owe your
work again when I need the backloaded horn sound. |

I was browsing the forum and Corian
board caught my eye when I had doubt about the setting
of tallboy-type speakers. I bought it without
question.

I put Corian board under
SX-LT55MK2. It became more
increased in thickness and the majestic sound. Cymbals
became more metallic sound, and it took up the slack
drumskin. |
And yet the sound doesn't go
tight, keeps softness. The results were amazing. It
has great vibrancy of live instrument. I was moved
by Eric
Clapton
"Unplugged", I casually played. Recently, I started listening to jazz
and classic music, too. I was totally impressed by the
live aspect of piano trio. It brings out a full
performance of the speakers. It is all good in my
environment. |

My audio career is
about 30 years. I'm
not fussy about audio if it is my favorite sound. When I
buy something, I have got from the product description, the
audio magazine reviews and the messages on the web-based
forums. But that valuation has not always been
successful, especially audio accessories. However,
I thought the Corian board is different from the
rest in a moment of one heard. High-priced audio board
is unnecessary. I'm glad I decided to
buy the Corian board. |

Thank you for your help the other
day. I placed cut Corian boards for Victor SX-M3. At first, it was light and watery
sound. A week later, the sound has become
stability.
SX-M3 The sound echoed
forcefully. I felt the characteristics
of Corian board from the drum tone and the sound of
the cymbals. I am delighted at the
results. For me, Corian board is
integral audio accessory in the
now. |

I received Corian boards. Immediately I put
Corian board under the speaker stands. And also I put
another Corian board under the speakers. That's
OK...
Finally, it became unprincipled sandwich board
- particle board (15mm) + granite
stone (30mm)
+ maple veneer (28mm) and Corian
board. But it still had good and bad points, switching
to a different layer sequence. Thereupon I added another
Corian board to the unprincipled sandwich
boards.
I got a chill when I listened
to a CD - a beautiful sound of piano, musical scale of bass
guitar and a brisk sound of cymbals.
(An
omission)
Corian board brought a dramatic
change. I ended up using 3 Corian boards to just one
channel. I could hear that sound I couldn't catch
before. |

My impression using Corian boards with
Hidasuki insulators:
I felt
that I agree with what reviewer-Mr.Akira Iida points
out, the playing volume level has became larger than
before. Before, volume dial was 12:00 direction, but now
it's 10:00 direction enough. This is only my own guess,
Corian boards with Hidasuki insulators allowed sound to be
heard clearly by removal of unnecessary sound.
I
usually listen to music on a headphones. Before, I often
felt exhausted after listening, but now it was completely
gone. And before, I had entranced sound, but now I'm
getting a view of the whole music.
Corian boards with
Hidasuki insulators can give a graphic description very
carefully. Therefore, the separation performance and the
localization of sound has progressed much farther than
before. They brought me upgrading the sound, and also they
teach me new listening method. They gave me much
more value for the price.

Good morning, this is the report about Corian
boards.
I put transversely SANSUI backloaded horn
speaker SP707J (Harkness type, JBL D130 driver) as the
result of trial and error. And I put TANNOY Rectangular
York (385HPD AlNiCo magnet driver, the edge covered with
chamois skin) on top of SP707J.

I placed Corian board between SP707J and
Rectangular York. Then high-tone range changed. I could
hear that sound with soundscape I couldn't catch
before. And it tightened low-tone range. Thankfully, I
might listen to jazz by TANNOY. I'd like to disseminate
"Put Corian board under TANNOY, then listen to jazz,
just for the heck of it." to TANNOY owners think
TANNOY tastes range only classical music and have old
TANNOY.

I felt visible changes
after a period of time. Especially, mid-high and high-pitched tone
took great strides with a sharp sound contour. And it
tightened low-pitched tone. Overall, it made the sound
image crispy. And I think the vibrancy of sound
became altered in a favorable way.
