PM2A
There was no deep bass
from MM-191T with LOWTHER PM2A.
So I upgraded MM-191T to MM-1101T, but
the sound coming out
of the horn is a little
soft.
Increasing the volume makes it possible to feel the
power of the horn
with increased capacity by increasing the
number of layered boards.
However, deep bass does not come
out yet.
LOWTHER PM2A magnet is powerful, the cone
paper is very light,
and Qts is 0.178.
Therefore, for
the purpose of reducing the volume of the air
chamber
and the purpose of further increasing the length of
the horn,
as shown in the photograph below, when a board of
300 mm in length
was set in the air chamber, the effect was
tremendous
and a powerful deep bass began to come
out.
It is a wonderful sound.
For example, a longer
and thicker board with a length of about 320 mm
and a
thickness of about 10 mm is likely to give even better
results.

I have LOWTHER Acousta 109.
The horn
length of Acousta 109 seems to be over 2.5 meters,
and by
setting this board, the horn got longer by more than 0.3
meters
and the volume of the air chamber became
smaller.
This board served a dual purpose.

I think that the same result as
LOWTHER PM2A can be obtained with
FOSTEX FE208-Sol
(Q0:0.15) and FE208EΣ (Q0:0.18)
PM6A
Qts of LOWTHER PM6A is 0.343,
so I think that
it will be a better result even if keep the
original MM-1101T.
However, it is likely that negation will
occur in the air chamber
if do not attach the speaker
driver to the end of the air chamber.

Thank you very much
for making MM-161SK.
When unwinding polite packaging, calm
dark brown color jumped
into my eyes.
It is heavily
built firmly, and yet it is as good a size as
possible.
I immediately heard a sound.
As I
owned UMU-121SSR and knew the lively sound of Hasehiro
back
loaded horn speakers, at the beginning MM-161SK
sounded
a little sleepy.
Until now I have also used
Fostex's bass reflex monitor speakers,
MM-161SK is a
feeling that treble is emphasized too much
if it
compares.

The force of the electric base is
short.
Anyway, I kept letting the MM-161SK with Audio
Nirvana
Classic 5" Ferrite play. As expected...
!
Fortunately three days passed, MM-161SK became
familiar with
my system and a real vocal of Asako
Toki came toward me
from the
center!
Unlike the bass reflex monitor speakers,
the electric bass is agile
when it says in a word. There is
no unnaturalness.
Although it is said that backloaded horn
speakers have a unique habit,
I think that Hasehiro horn speakers are a
structure pursuing
the back loaded system ideal.
For
that reason, it is a very lively sound, but I am not
tired.
There is also a natural spread in the sound.
But
I will continue with the aging more and
more!

Placing a cypress
universal
stand
purchased with
a home center on
a self-made
board,
and supporting three
ebony dices on
it.
MM-161SK became
the most stable
when placing 2
dices forward
and 1 dice behind.
From now on I will
only have
MM-161SK!

I think that nearly 100% of people of
audio fans are men.
However, in the autumn of last year we
got an order for MM-151S
from a woman unusually.
She had
the hope of assembling herself after SSC
coating by herself
and mounting PARC Audio's
wood cone driver.
She frequently asked for impregnation
method of SSC and connection
method of SP cable
before and after purchase of MM-151S eagerly
by
e-mail.
Since the purchaser is a woman, I explained those
more carefully
than usual.
According to the e-mail
received after the completion of the speakers,
she is
planning to open a wine bar in Tokyo within this year
and
it was a pleasant news to use that speakers at that
bar.
"When I wanted to make it a comfortable space
and I was looking for
audio equipment, I finally arrived at
Hasehiro backloaded speaker.
I'm going to connect a vacuum
tube amplifier to these.
I'm really looking forward to
hearing what kind of sound I can
hear."

Three months have passed since
opened.
SSC coated MM-151S with
PARC Audio DCU-F121W plays
a gentle sound with a vacuum
tube amplifier.
It is nice to be familiar with the image of
the bar as well. Customers
also say "Speakers are
good".
It is a photo of the opening of the bar, but I
attach it.

music as its name suggests.
It lacks the lightness of the
sound because it is not aging at all,
but it will change to
a radiant sound over time.
The same color speaker grill
which received the order together

completed.
The speaker grill is fixed to the body
perfectly
with several suction cups.

The dark brown mirror finished
MM-161SK with Audio Nirvana
Classic 5" Cast Frame arrived
yesterday.
It was carefully packed and I was excited when I
unpacked it.
A deep dark brown shade and shininess produce
a high-class feeling,
and the speaker grill symbolizes the
full range proudly.
I was impressed with truly polite
making.
Yesterday and today I listened to the sound for
about 8 hours.
The sound that was hard and being withdrawn
is gradually
becoming free.
Driven
by Nmode X-PW1
Very strong, but shiny, it is a
feeling that the sound comes forward.
Sound of piano and
strings is beautiful.
Driven
by LUXMAN L-510
It is rounded and sounds more
shiner.
The low range is a little swollen, and I feel that
the dignified feeling is
suitable for classical
music.
Even now, the freedom of the midrange to the
high range makes me
feel the height of potential of the
dark brown mirror finished
MM-161SK with Classic 5"
CF.
The bass range is solid enough to be unimaginable as
13cm.
I think that balance will be improved by future
aging.
It has much information volume that is not
comparable with
DALI ZENSOR 1, and sound field expression
is well balanced and solid.
Is this good compatibility
between Audio Nirvana Classic 5" CF
and Hasehiro backloaded horn
system?
And the
aspect changes completely depending on
the listening
position, so I will be more careful about listening
points
than ever.
When the Corian board is laid down, a
steady low range
comes out forward.
I'm glad I ordered
together.
It's still a short time, but I felt everything
about the splendor of
the dark brown mirror finished
MM-161SK with Audio Nirvana
Classic 5" Cast Frame
everywhere.

Received upgraded parts for MM-T such as
layered boards,
so I tried remodeling from MM-191T to
MM-1111T immediately.
I liked MM-191T with a very
clear sound, but I tried remodeling it to
MM-1111T this
time in order to improve the balance between
L.Cao FA6
Alnico's mid-low range and excessive treble.

As you can see, I added the
layered boards to the right and left
and thought that the
front baffle boards for MM-191T could be used
as it
was.
By doing that, I am easily exchanging L.Cao FA6 Alnico
and
Audio Nirvana Super 8" Cast Frame and enjoying
music.
I think that the stripes are arranged on the right
and left
and it became a good design.
Regarding the
sound,
the clear sound of MM-191T became even clearer and
the bass
naturally became rich. Mid-range sound also
increased.
For L.Cao FA6 Alnico,
I think that the
capacity of MM-1111T was good.
Although it has rich bass,
it does not get blurred. I am satisfied
that both classical
and jazz are better than before because
the detailed sound
became finer.
I like L.Cao with delicacy, but the appeal of
the MM kit is that
it can enjoy other sound quality
according to the mood at that time.

The liquid crystal monitor is 27
inch.
Although it is large as a desktop use, it is well
harmonized with
the diagonal baffle of my own
speakers.
It seems that it was able to skillfully suppress
the standing wave
inside the
enclosures with a triangular reverse backloaded horn
system
and there is no habit of disgusting
sound. |

There is also the
effect of
SSC
coating, I do not have any fear
in the
performance.
As a near field listening speaker,
this
makes me feel immersed in music
with
confidence.
Although the reverse back loaded
horn
opening on the back looks larger
for rounding work, the
actual port
opening is about 35% of
the effective area
of the diaphragm. |
Now I am trying to adjust the bass by
stuffing the sponge a bit
to the
port.

complete the ideal

But I can adjust the crossing frequency of

Last Thursday, a couple came to Hasehiro
listening room by using
connections of an airplane and a
bullet train from Fukuoka pref.
The couple liked For Jazz Audio Fans
Only with the best resolution
among them as
a result of listening to several models that they wanted
a
speaker system that can play the orchestra as it
is,
but they were worried that the size was too big
than planned.

So I let them listen to
MM-151S
with Audio Nirvana Classic 5" Cast Frame which
I tried before.
The couple was very satisfied with the power and
resolution
not inferior to For Jazz Audio Fans
Only,
although MM-151S was a shallow bookshelf type.
We
got an order of the bonded type painted MM-161SK which
added
