FOSTEX F200A WCW-F200A
One month have already passed
since came my home.
During this period, I have heard the
sound day after day.
At first, for aging and then for check
the sound.
Just blissful moment for me.
At the
beginning, the low tone is inefficient sound
but as the
aging continue, it has improved by degrees.
WCW is
a lot of advantages, sound freshness,
resolution performance
and so on but most of all,
expressiveness of depth feel to backward
and forward in
addition to soundscape to right and left.
Even 2ch stereo
is high realistic sensation in the center of a hall.

way.
During this period, I could feel really
good quality of WCW
in any condition.
WCW has a
great vibrancy-adjusted power of concrete.

words!

WCW-F200A
One week have passed since came
my home.
I am enjoying the sound every day after
work.
I simply can't believe it.
That's graceful and
beautiful sound.
Each instruments sing without altering the
tone color.
This looks a matter of course but the fact that
it is a difficult matter.
Not only beauty the tone color of
instruments but also waft a feeling of the air in a
concert hall or jazz club.
I tried various audio until now
but I have never been
in this realm before.
WCW sound:
That makes someone happiness.
Finally, I say in
conclusion "WCW is real one."
WCW is master's work with
combined technology of audio nuts.

FOSTEX F200A
WCW-F200A
I think this is a great
loudspeaker.
I thought I will report the impression after
attended more to musics.
But I immediately report the
impression because I like that very much.
I've been looking for more wide range
of
full-range speaker.
I was interested in WCW,
too, but WCW-200A
carried
ALTEC 2way speaker 409-8E
so I've been obsessing for
so long.
Under these circumstances, I knew the
release
of a new WCW model; WCW-F200A.
So I placed
order for WCW-F200A soon.
Concrete horn
is my icon, and I wanted to use
alnico
driver.
So I've been looking forward to
WCW-F200A
coming.
I have arranged CAYIN KT88 push-pull
amplifier. |
WCW-200A | I use
SUNVALLEY tube D/A converter
through BEHRINGER digital
parametric equalizer.
First time, I felt the high-tone
range...?
The peak value of the speaker driver FOSTEX F200A
is about 6dB
at around 4kHz.
So I adjusted the
equalization of BW1/2 octave to -6dB.
As a result, it
brought a good balance.
I thought that the low-tone range
is enough because of
20cm full-range speaker but the
high-tone range lacks something.
So I arranged the
equalizer, but it stretchs ahead sufficiently.
Mainly,
I listen to female vocal musics.
WCW's female vocal is
fantastic, especially the expression of
the climax doesn't
have my main system, WCW-F200A is the greatest.
The
risetime of low-tone range is quick sufficiently,
and WCW
has the merit of particularly full-range speaker
such as
sound localization, etc.
Thus, I always turn up the volume
more and more.
But I don't feel a loud sound even such a
megavolume.
Because it is low distortion, I
think.
It has only begun.
WCW-F200A may takes over
the main position on my system.

Today,
I received RR-10LC12S.
The beautiful speakers appeared in
front of me when I opened the box.
The beauty of the color
and the figure produce a sense of expectancy
to the
sound.
At first it was broken sound but it was
changing to the original
sound.
Audiotic comment to the speaker is
emptiness.
I can't describe RR-10LC12S in better terms than
beautiful sound.
RR-10LC12S brings a level of excitement
that I have never
experienced
before.
RR-10LC12S is a terrific loudspeaker!
Please
keep making RR-10LC12S in the
future.

I received
RR-10LC12S.
RR-10LC12S was individual sound
surpassing.
The high-tone range of over 600Hz have been
cut
like through minus 12dB low-pass filter in obvious, but
it consists
as music, it's amazing!
My body
melt quickly when I put on the residual echoey recording
without using a microphone at great hall.
The sound
especially mainly low tone and midrange instruments
such as
viola, cello and oboe.
Please listen to "Andras
Schiff - Davidsbündlertänze"
when you have a
chance.
Great!!
Please keep making individual
speakers in the future.

RR-10LC12S makes the
most of what it had
at my listening room.
Now I
use 4 different types of speakers such as
Zingali
95-206II Control Monitor (Italy), Infinity Kappa 9
(USA),
Technics SB-M1000 (Japan) and Hasehiro
RR-10LC12S.
I mostly drive RR-10LC12S by
6F6
pentode parallel push-pull Olson type amplifier.
According
to the circumstances, I drive it by LUXMAN pure
class A or
Accuphase E-407, too.
The good thing
about RR-10LC12S is a good sense of speed
and
response.
So, I play it when I listen to piano music.
It
has a narrow range, but I am unbothered by it when I listen
to
piano works by Bach, Haydn and Mozart.
It may be
no exaggeration to say that RR-10LC12S is for
Mozart's
piano works.
Now RR-10LC12S is essential for
me.

Now, more
than one month later,
UMU-131SS still has surprised
me every day.
I know "live sound" since my
college days
because of I was a member of a jazz
band.
I had given up playing for "live
sound" |
10BGS
119/8 | with aerial vibration of
low-pitched tone of bass guitar
and bass drum until
now.
In spite of that, UMU-131SS sends it without much
resistance
and any stress from only 10cm
drivers.
It was a big impact shock! There's no
other word for it.
Nothing will change if I turn up the
volume.
It has more energy but I don't feel a
distortion.
UMU-131SS is good S/N ratio. No change the
amplifier...
UMU-131SS doesn't play unneeded
sound.
Conventional speakers make a loud noise when I turn
up the volume,
but UMU-131SS is not.
Is the sound by
infinite baffle?
I never say "UMU-131SS is perfect",
but I can forget
about audio and enjoy music from
now.
Finally, I got away from stress which lasted for about
35 years.

home.
Soon, I set up it on my desk.
My desk is good size
for UMU-131SS, and I am very pleased
as a decoration.
I
have heard the sound of PC and CD by digital amplifier.
I
am surprised to filled pervasive realistic sensation from my
desk
to my room, the resonant sound and low-pitched
tone.
It has only been a few days since I started
sounding UMU-131SS.
But it has improved the continuity
of the sound between
low-pitched tone and mid-high-tone
range.
And the sound came out to the fore much
more.
UMU-131SS is really excellent product.
Please

I lived in an
apartment when I married.
I couldn't bring in my big
speakers in an apartment.
So I've used small speakers of my
wife's all-in-one mini stereo.
The small speakers died by
aged deterioration.
So I bought TIMEDOMAIN mini, and have
enjoyed.
One day, I was browsing the magazine
article about UMU-131SS.
One is the directional loudspeaker
in contrast to TIMEDOMAIN mini.
Next, I had been interested
in backloaded horn speaker from before.
Furthermore,
UMU-131SS is only A4 size.
I bought UMU-131SS.
I put
on a CD.
At first, the sound was imbalance between
mid-high-tone range
and low-tone range.
Brushed away
that as time passes.
I could understand high
resolution performance
to mid and high-tone range
soon.
Low-tone range is also high
resolution performance as time passes.
It has only
been 2 weeks since it came at my room.
I began to
understand the high performance.
UMU-131SS has intrinsic value, and I am having a great time
now.

After 3 months, I
simply report. I bought UMU-131SS and
ONKYO BR-NX8 for
HDD recording the baroque music
from FM station every
morning.
I'm happy with UMU-131SS.
I could get
stable low tone and amazing sound localization
from the
beginning.
In addition, the low tone is rich and a sense of
reassurance.
I think it's effect of the urethane
coating.
Maybe the sound would be better if I choose SSC
coating.
But that's enough to
me.
Their combined cost is only about 100,000
yen.
They have reached high level in spite of the compact
size.
So I have urged them to acquaintances.
I publicly
proclaim that economic audio is intellectual challenge.
In
the future also, please develop amazing
products.

bought UMU-131SS and tube amp for my
subsystem.
The speaker is rather good
sound.
Actually, I listened to the sound at Vacuum Tube
Audio Fair.
The undertone gushes out stronger than main
DIATONE DS-A7,
furthermore, the sound localization is
wonderful.
I found out hidden sounds by
UMU-131SS.
UMU-131SS stays in my main system,
now.

I purchased SSC coated UMU-131SS in May.
I
put UMU-131SS on my desk of the office and I heard jazz,
rock
and Japanese popular music.
I was using AM-5Ⅲ
(BOSE) in my office until that time.
The sound of BOSE
is artificial sound I think.
That is good to hear as BGM
and the latest rock music
and popular hit songs but I did
not like to hear the old jazz music
due to
artificially-made sound.
In the daytime, I am using
AM-5Ⅲ for play music as BGM.
But I switched to UMU-131SS
after staff leave office
and I hear jazz
music.

body

horn aperture into the horn opening.
That alone makes the
undertone has changed a whole lot.
Once, I thought of
making like the parts."
I made the extension horn
for UMU-131SS based on your above advice.
UMU-131SS is the
beauty of undersize.
So inevitably, it may be the only
solution that I extend it forward.
The undertone
became deeper and well-balanced sound
even lower the
volume.
At first, I felt like horn flavor.
Consequently,
I added the dark area of the picture.
It eliminated the
flavor.
I measured the frequency
characteristic,
the low-tone range surely increased,
but the mid-high-tone range
was unstable
condition.
Probably the standing
wave in the extension
horn had an influence
on the characteristic.
So I put
felt pad ,
as you will see in the photo.
It eliminated,
too. |

Despite that, the extension horn looks
grotesque.
I can easily gather from look and feel that you
didn't place it
on the market, but the extension horn
is just attached by
double-stick tape to UMU-131SS, so I
can detach it shortly.

Thank you very much.
The much-awaited
UMU-131SSK arrived on Saturday.
As it turns out I took off
my hat to UMU-131SSK!
W3-583SA
Now, I am right in the
middle of study for a promotional exam.
But I mounted
Tang Band W3-583SA on UMU-131SSK impatiently.
I listened to
it on my own bass reflex till now,
and was satisfied in its
way.
But is it now?
The music level played
by UMU-131SSK with Tang Band W3-583SA
is completely
different!
First "The sound is beautiful" as the
cliche goes such as female vocal,
strings, winds, and
drums.
And best of all, it played good-quality double bass
having presence,
it was my long inquiring
theme.
Moreover, the individual sounds have power with
depth,
so I can feel high realistic sensation.
And it is
comfortable sound not causing fatigue.
A noteworthy fact is
that I could find a new part not listened by
my own bass
reflex with Tang Band W3-583SA.
I have experienced a
lot of loudspeakers such as JBL 38cm woofer
and own
20cm backloaded horn speaker in my audio life.
And I made a
modest payment for an amplifier and a player.
I wonder what
they are all about.
I have a bit of culture
shock!
Large speakers have a definite
advantage,
but this small and little speaker played such a
wonderful music.
UMU-131SSK with Tang Band W3-583SA took
over the main speaker
replaced own 20cm backloaded
horn speaker.
UMU-131SSK is formidable!
That
sound is good! That looks good! The size is
good!;
UMU-131SSK has three elements.
My wife
also praised
UMU-131SSK.

The special acrylic see-through
horn speakers requested by Mr.K.
Standardized AMA-131SS has
DIY Audio SA/F80AMG or
Tang Band W3-1231SH drivers,
but the custom-ordered AMA-131SS
has Vifa
TG9FD drivers.
Furthermore, standardized AMA-131SS
have clear acrylic side boards,
but the custom-ordered
AMA-131SS have glass-colored
acrylic side boards.
I
recommended Vifa TG9FD drivers, but glass-colored acrylic
boards
were Mr.K's pressing request to us.
I
previewed Avril Lavigne's CD before shipping.
I
thought,
"Why didin't I listen to the sound of
AMA-131SS with Vifa TG9FD...?!"
The special AMA-131SS
suited Avril Lavigne's song or
"electrophonic
modern music" perfectly.
Clear-cut brilliant dried
sound quality, it allowed English lyrics
to be heard more
clearly.
I could hear tired CD like a new
CD.
Pianoblack PMP-131SS has also Vifa TG9FD
drivers.
But the sound quality is diametrically opposed to
PMP-131SS.
That's brightly refreshing sound quality and
boyish dried voice.
Sound character changes by the material
and paint of enclosures.
Even so, Vifa TG9FD is Euro-tone
even acrylic see-through horn (AMA)
and even pianoblack
mirrored horn (PMP).
I recommend Vifa drivers, its
reproduced music has a subtle charm. |

About 2 years ago,
the young
serviceman for our accounting software
bought
AMA-131SSK (DIY kit).
He had absolutely no interest in
audio, but he bought that in favor
with its
beauty.
At first, he mounted FOSTEX FE-83E in
AMA-131SSK,
but he changed to Tang Band W3-593SG soon.
A
while later he changed again to Tang Band W3-583SA.
Then he
changed to AUDAX HP080G0 once again.
That is a chapter of
only several months.
At this time, he became an
appreciative fine audio nut, but he still
couldn't
completely satisfy with the sound.
Next he changed to the
Vifa TG9FD.
He knocked 4 holes by a chisel because the
original size of holes is
different in case of Vifa
TG9FD.
In the end, he really likes that, so he still
remains Vifa TG9FD
as AMA-131SS's drivers.
At that
time, he came all the way to my company to
report.
"It became a fantastic sound when I changed to
Vifa."
I replied "That's the good
news."
But I couldn't make the prototype through
my default.
I wasted to his kind report.
I now
realized I rediscovered the fascination of Vifa TG9FD
for
Mr.K's
request.

Silver
colored AMA-131SS arrived. (DIY Audio model)
I
immediately heard the sound, and I felt hardish sound
for
the first hour.
But it became a well-balanced sound soon,
and they are best looking.
On this day, I spent listening
to musics with initial aging
from the evening to midnight
after a long absence.
After that, I am enjoying
listening to musics with
switch the speaker back and forth
between AMA-131SS
and my favorite own 80L bass reflex of
DIATONE P610A (2 paralleling)
with Technics horn tweeter
EAS-5HH17G for about 30 years.
Own bass reflex captured the
title about mid-high note
because the aging was
finished previously.
But AMA-131SS won the title about
the dynamism of undertone
by all odds.
I look forward to
the sound after completing the aging.
This time, I
bought AMA-131SS because I wanted to know
about Hasehiro
backloaded horn speaker and
for a brand-new
high-vision TV.
Actually, I am considering to buy new main
speaker to replace
the own 80L bass reflex.
My favorite
musical genre is classical music, so I already decided
ELCY
Electric LC-12S as the next drivers.
Please propose the
most suitable Hasehiro backloaded horn boxes
for
LC-12S.
That's my first impression of AMA-131SS, Thank

I soft-soldered Monster Cables directly to
speaker drivers.
And I drive it by ONKYO sound board
SE-90PCI
with marantz power amplifier SM6100SA.
I
played Apple Lossless file on an
iTunes.
"What...!?"
The low tone was a muffled
sound, the vocal kept to oneself
and the high tone was
gasping for breath.
"I really blew
it..."
But that sound has drastically changed as
the aging progresses.
"Great!" "Is this a PC
sound?"
Unimaginable sound field from its size
appeared.
The low tone became a sharp and a
powerful sound
a little bit too much.
The vocal
became a nice sound,
and the high tone became the
sound moving across a space.
It is a lot of fun to feel
the change of sound.
It has only begun.
By the way, I
played compressed classical music by AAC 128kHz
but I just
didn't think it's compressed sound.
I became a
fan of Hasehiro, Thank you very

It has
been 3 months since PMP-131SS came to my
house
in mid-December, 2007.
I feel simply pleasant
speaker.
PMP-131SS is tight sound and it brings out the
essence of the music.
Especially piano, guitar and vocal
have a special feel.
I am using LUX38FD, that's good
enough
from eight to nine of the tone knob.
I enjoy
jazz, rock and J-pop.
No speaker until now, such a
wonderful speaker PMP-131SS.
I started CRYSLER's small
speaker.
Then, I changed JBL 4311BWX and used CELESTION SL6
together.
Next, I enjoyed the single cone of Ballad
Ba404.
And now I reached Hasehiro PMP-131SS.
I
wonder how long it has been since one has known Hasehiro
Audio
in the information magazine Tokusengai.
I
would like to look at improve the sound quality for the
future.

Some comments of

a strong fascination to
me.
Especially in the article, everyone in town walks
around fell
into the error of thinking that it's real
violin.
I thought this is much-touted article because
of
just 8cm full-range speaker.
I started thinking
maybe...?
by a miracle...?
PMP-131SS concept is
completely different
from conventional
speakers.
PMP-131SS is like a time machine or Doraemon's
"Wherever Door".
It's true that even good small
speakers put on a performance
the realistic acoustic field
to the listening room.
But it is just sound from the
speakers.
However, PMP-131SS is completely different
from that.
I am whisked to any concert hall or jazz club by
space warp
in a moment when I put on CD.
I got a chill
by "Hasehiro Pianoblack" over and over again.
I had my
first taste of that through years of my audio
life,
furthermore, at lower volume.
I just can't
believe that.
I believe to the result of your excellent
designing.
I got a fresh reminder of barriers such as
network, deep woofer
and different texture tweeters to the
real musical expression.
On violin solo, I believed it
was impossible to a reproduction
by CD source.
And I
think the right listening way puts full makeup on the violin
solo
such as British speakers.
That ultimate
is only "TANNOY ⅢLZ"
But PMP-131SS has completely and
easily changed my sense.
I could realize the opening
episode.
That's not loudspeakers.
That's magical
black boxes, only tens of thousands of
yen?
P.S.
I want to listen to the
sound of PMP-131SS to musicians
and music lovers, not only
audio nuts.
But maybe musicians and music lovers
don't visit your
website.

(the drivers are Vifa
10BGS 119/8)
Thank you for your attention to my special
order speakers.
The color tone of aramid fiber diaphragm
stands out
against the pianoblack.
This PMP-151S plays
the sound such as a vocal and an instrument
into high
relief with a clear in silence.
I was drawn into the
sound because they themselves sing it
wonderful and
fascinating.
W3-583SA
I had the
following impressions when I listened to the sound
of
PMP-141S with Tang Band W3-583SA.
"It has a shiny
tone, especially as it left,
the sound left the
sighful afterglow and died away.
Maybe the enclosures were
still singing after that.
It is an embodiment of an
instrument."

That PMP-141S is a crying
speaker
with a relaxing
aroma
from harmonic overtone,
whereas
this PMP-151S plays
the sound with the original tone and
it sinks into the psyche of my
mind
deeply.
This PMP-151S is a warm hi-fi
speaker
with a superb audio
performance.
I was under the
impression that
the sound of that
PMP-141S is
the pianoblack
sound
until arrival of this PMP-151S.
But I changed
the

What a small speakers! They're
really small.
I don't believe... They were playing music
with energy
at that Hasehiro event...?
Usually,
it seems larger when I bring it in my room when
compared
with I saw it in a store.
But as for UMU-131XS,
it's the opposite.
I think it's probably true to say that
UMU-131XS is really small.
Well, I have the impression
that the sound balance seems decidedly
high note-sided just
slightly.
However, the undertone of UMU-131XS has a spark
of greatness, sweeping away lack of bass
expansiveness.
At any rate, the sound comes lightly and
naturally!
UMU-131XS doesn't have a feeling of
congestion of another speakers
of the same
size.
Undertone like closed-box speakers doesn't come
out
from UMU-131XS, it is soft sound like electrostatic
speakers.
My sound image of UMU-131XS was active dry
sound
when I listened to the sound.
Matter of
compatibility with the amplifier? (my amp is ONKYO
A-927)
It is a pleasant feeling to the sound image
in
disregard of the existence of my room wall and
UMU-131XS.
Of particular note is that it's great to
listened to music
for more than 8 hours but not get
tired!
UMU-131XS is delightful loudspeaker. Thank

I like small things.
So I
gave up the smallness and the
chic-sedate-looking.
Unclouded pure sound like spring water
pervades pleasantly.
The materialistic attitude is
very strong after so long.

with my favorite WCW-2016R
mounted with Roiene
RA160.
That sounds just like parent and child, doesn't
it?
Sound inflection, emotion, atmosphere and
expressiveness...

Naturally, I knew the size but real UMU-131XS was
smaller
than foreseen.
That's well-built speakers and
very attractive
in solid black
appearance.
I played the sound by my main
audio system.
The CD player is Ah! NT4000 SuperbFV
and
the amplifier is Ah! (PrimaLuna) Prologue One.
I made
the assumption that the sound of backloaded horn is biased
toward low tone.
But rather, the sound is fully provided
for midrange.
Is backloaded horn contributing to ease the
speaker driver?
The high-tone range has a
little degree of surface roughness.
But it is no mean
feat for the size of the speaker drivers.
Furthermore, my
main audio system has a habit of
resolution
emphasis.
The low-tone range is yielding
disposition.
The midrange has a lot of dash, so I could
listen comfortably
to vocal music.
Next, I played
the sound by PC.
The PC is home-built AT compatible with
M-Audio AudioPhile192 and
the amplifier is nonbrand-name
small power amplifier (3W+3W).
I listend it up
close.
So the sound had a tremendous impact.
I
could listen enchantedly to pops and jazz vocals.
I
want to have a chance that listen to
the sound of other
Hasehiro backloaded horn speakers.

I
purchased UMU-131XS.
I wanted that when I listened to the
sound
at previous Hasehiro event.
The left is famous
FOSTEX G750
and the middle is YAMAHA tweeter
JA0506.
UMU-131XS is just a little bit bigger than G750
about the height
and the depth.
UMU-131XS is really
small backloaded horn speaker.
I match-up previewed
G750 and UMU-131XS.
This is personal
views.
FOSTEX G750:
I
like this speaker from the very start.
That's brightly beat
and the sound pressure level is a little bit higher
than
UMU-131XS, I think.
That's 2 way but the undertone is a
fool because of the small body.
Hasehiro Audio UMU-131XS:
The gamut is
almost the same as G750, I think.
But that's much smooth the undertone to the high-pitched tone
as may
be expected of single driver.
And the sound
has Hasehiro backloaded blood.
UMU-131XS isn't
the speaker to hear sound, it's the speaker
to hear
music.
The air of the horn opening begin to
dance.
The sound of G750 plays from line
connecting points of both speakers but UMU-131XS has rows
of musical instruments
with an appearance of depth
into
backspace line connecting points of both

I received
UMU-131XS.
I was very surprised to see the size of the
package.
I immediately opened the package and I felt that
UMU-131XS is
well-produced although small in
stature.
Last night, I couldn't listen to the sound because
of late-night return.
I'm listening to the sound since
this morning.
I'm feeling the dynamism from the small
speakers,
that no one can hardly ever believe.
It's
rather nice to vocal atmosphere.
I'm looking forward to
seeing the aging effect.

I
can't listen to the sound on weekdays because of late-night
return.
But I listen to the sound since morning on
holidays.
UMU-131XS is at own best by
gradation.
At first, it was hardish sound.
Now, it
getting better to the whole connection and delicious
sound.
I have great admiration for unbelievable formation
of bass and
extent of the acoustic field from the size of
UMU-131XS.
Mostly I'm listening to jazz, pop, classic,
Tsugaru-shamisen, etc.
It's rather nice to the
presence of female vocal.
UMU-131XS has enough
realistic expressiveness.
Visual descriptions, large
plectrum handling of Tsugaru-shamisen
and the fingering of
a pianist.
However, UMU-131XS plays me with a refreshed
feeling.
That's most impressive indeed!
I'm
50 now.
30-something years have gone by since I became
interested in audio.
I had been eyeing Hasehiro backloaded
horn speakers from before.
I was looking for small speaker
to my room.
"This is it!"
I found UMU-131XS
on the website and ordered.
UMU-131XS was excellent as I
had expected.
Now, UMU-131XS sits on TV
cabinet.
UMU-131XS properly responded to insulator and
cable.
So probably it getting more better depends on the
setting.
The atmosphere changed when I drove by tube
amp.
I have been thoroughly enjoying the
time.

I was
looking for PC speaker.
I was thinking about purchasing of
BOSE CompanionR2 Ⅱ.
But one time, once I saw
UMU-131XS, I thought that's the best size.
But how about
the sound? ― What is this sound!
I fell
head over heels, the size, the price, the shape and the
sound.
I know I listened to mechanical sound until
now.
The other day, suddenly my son said it is a
beautiful sound.
I was surprised, my son still is 4 years
old.
I enjoyed the occasion thoroughly with my
son. |
